On September 26, 2011, the Admissions Office gave a presentation to members of ASU’s Phi Alpha Delpha organization. On September 28, 2011, Brenda Lee’s class from South Mountain High School, in South Phoenix, visited the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at ASU for a half-day introduction to the law and legal research. After being introduced to the DiscoverLaw.org website and receiving library instruction, the students conducted research on Supreme Court cases in the law library and took notes on a case in preparation for a later presentation in class. Following their work in the law library, the visiting students ate lunch in the student café with some mentoring law students.
Ms. Lee, the new Director of the Law Magnet Program at S. Mt., sent the following message of thanks: “Thank you so much for the wonderful experience for my US History & the Law students. I have been reading their assignments tonight and they really did a great job thanks to the help of your students.”
