Center for Law and Global Affairs

The Center for Law and Global Affairs supports and inspires research, education and practice regarding emerging forms of transnational governance that extend beyond the traditional paradigms of international law. The Center is a multidisciplinary faculty-run institution linking scholars, students and community members through a critical engagement with the academic and policy challenges of law and system of social order within an increasingly interdependent world.

In this Center co-sponsored conference, scholars from around the world discuss the influence of intellectual property law on international relations. The event is designed for both academics and practitioners.
   
November 3, 2012 Phoenix, AZ
This Center conference brings together top scholars to reflect on the complex interactions and multiple roles of international and local institutions, questioning dominant understandings of global governance.
   
 
June 22, 2012, Phoenix and Tuscon, AZ
The Center assisted with the visit of the Hon. Medhat al-Mahmoud, Chief Justice of Iraq and President of the Iraqi Higher Judicial Council who spoke at the Arizona Judicial Conference and the annual convention of the State Bar of Arizona.
