The professional success of alumni from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University is important to us. Through our Law for Life program, we are proud to offer alumni a number of career-enhancing opportunities including an exclusive, low-cost preferred tuition rate for our Master of Laws (LLM) and Master of Legal Studies (MLS) programs. Alumni also benefit from our Continuing Legal Education (CLE) “Give What You Want” program, as well as career guidance and support from our Office of Career and Employment Services.
Note: ASU Alums must wait two years after graduating with any degree from ASU Law before taking advantage of the Law For Life program.
Master of Laws (LLM)—is a 24-credit graduate degree for those who want to take their practice to the next level. Alumni who graduated after 2004 pay $5,000, graduates between 1994 and 2003 pay $10,000 (normal resident cost $28,053), and all other alumni pay $12,500.*
Master of Legal Studies (MLS)—is a 30-credit graduate degree for those who want to master legal principles without practicing law. Alumni hoping to return to earn an MLS pay $10,000 (normal resident cost $31,200).*
Both programs are flexible and customized to meet an individual’s career goals. There are more than 250 unique courses to choose from including popular areas such as health law, patent practice, law & sustainability, international law, sports law & business, science & technology law, Rule of Law & Governance, Indian law, and more.
ASU Law alumni may also be eligible for the same scholarship opportunities that benefit other ASU Law LLM and MLS students.
*Limited space available. University fees will apply.
ASU Law offers all Arizona attorneys a variety of CLE options. ASU Law alumni can participate in our “Give What You Want” CLE program. All proceeds from the program support student scholarships—a great way to pay it forward. For more information, visit our CLE page or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Staff members from our Office of Career and Employment Services are available to assist alumni in determining the best options for professional career and employment opportunities, as well as to review application materials. For more information, contact Pamela J. Höh, Director of Placement Services at 480-965-1035.
Reciprocity is a courtesy arrangement among different law school Career Service offices where students and graduates are allowed to use onsite resources located in other cities and states.
If you are planning a visit to another school and would like a letter of reciprocity, please contact email@example.com.
For all non-ASU students, reciprocity requests should be sent through your Career Services office to firstname.lastname@example.org.
