The American Indian Policy Institute (AIPI) at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University today announced the launch of its Federal Policy Tracking Dashboard for Tribal Nations. A centralized, real-time platform designed to transform how Native nations and citizens engage with federal policy and decision-making in Washington, D.C.
"Effective governance requires access to the information that drives decision-making and for too long, federal policy processes have moved faster than Tribal Nations have had the resources to track. The Federal Policy Tracking Dashboard directly addresses that gap by consolidating complex, multi-agency data into a single, actionable platform built around the specific policy priorities of Indigenous communities. AIPI's two decades of federal policy analysis are embedded in how this tool is structured, filtered and updated," said Traci L. Morris, executive director of AIPI.
Designed specifically for Tribal Nations and citizens, the platform reduces barriers to accessing federal policy information relevant to Indigenous communities and supports informed decision-making on issues affecting sovereignty, funding and governance, using publicly available government data sources to track a wide range of federal actions, including congressional bills, Federal Register notices, executive orders and agency activity.
Key features of the dashboard include:
- Regularly updated legislative and regulatory tracking across federal agencies and Congress
- Customizable dashboards by issue area, such as health, education, environment and technology
- Policy tagging and filtering tools to quickly surface relevant information
- Deadline tracking for public comment opportunities, including urgent and upcoming actions
- Quarterly summaries and insights to support long-term strategic planning
The Federal Legislative Tracking Dashboard is now available at aipi.asu.edu/solutions.
