From student to mentor: ASU Law alum leads the way in eDiscovery
When Robert Singleton graduated with his JD from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 2002, eDiscovery, the process of identifying, collecting, preserving and producing electronically stored information for use in legal proceedings like litigation or investigations, was still in its infancy. So, when he joined Squire Patton Boggs and was tasked with developing a strategy for reviewing and producing the massive volume of documents in a bankruptcy case, this daunting challenge led to the evolution of eDiscovery at the firm.

ASU Law plays key role in 2025 ABA Midyear Conference
The American Bar Association’s midyear conference was held in downtown Phoenix from Jan. 29 to Feb. 3. The event, held at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, brought together more than 600 lawyers and judges from across the country. Attendees participated in 14 programs over two days covering topics such as solo and small firm practices, as well as insights from federal judges on their careers, lawyering and clerking.
At the forefront of clean energy policy
Michael O’Boyle (JD ‘14) is leading the way in clean energy policy as the senior director of electricity at Energy Innovation. His work includes designing policies that help the United States’ electricity grid go green. His time at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University gave him the tools he needed to learn about the fundamental concepts of energy and environmental law.
Championing sustainability in consumer product law
Will Wagner’s path to sustainability law began with his love for science. Originally, he considered a career in pharmaceuticals or medicine during his undergraduate years but realized his personality was better suited for a profession that allowed more social interaction and valued strong communication skills.
