Tribal Sovereignty and Indigenous Justice refers to a future shaped by and for Indigenous peoples. This includes the rights of Indigenous peoples to govern themselves, their land and resources, and their culture, creativity and technologies by respecting tribal laws, understanding federal Indian law and developing tools to support Indigenous rights.
ASU Law's Tribal Sovereignty and Indigenous Justice area of expertise merges legal education with training in tribal self-governance while fostering legal and economic innovations in support of tribes across all specializations.
