ASU Law student awarded first place in tax writing competition

ASU Law student Michael Shaw is the first-place recipient of the 2022 Donald C. Alexander Tax Law Writing Competition, hosted by the Federal Bar Association Section on Taxation. He was presented with a commemorative plaque and a $2,000 cash prize for his paper “Local Governments in a TIF(f): Theories on Municipal Renegotiation of Tax-Increment Financing Agreements in a Post-Retail Pandemic.
