Claudia Reeves
JD Candidate 2021
“I was led to ASU Law because it was ranked No. 25 in the country and I really wanted to attend a law school that had influence in the legal world. Dean Sylvester made a touching speech at Admitted Students Day about how ASU Law would be unlike any other law school in the nation in that the law school would tailor itself to the diversity of the students and would capture every niche. Those words made me feel at home and captured the values of a law school I wanted to attend.”

“Pretty much everything I do, I recognize how the law interacts with it, whether it’s HR law, employment law, contract law, intellectual property, I looked at a bunch of different schools. It needed to be online, because of my circumstances — I’m traveling a lot. And I wanted it to be a significant school, one with a good reputation. ASU just rose to the top of the list pretty quickly."

“I value learning and development and have had a long-standing interest in rule of law and governance. When I saw ASU’s LLM (Master of Laws) program, I knew it would be a great fit for me. From there, I joined the International Rule of Law and Security program, which took me to Washington, D.C., for a semester of study, and then Hong Kong."

"From day one, Sports Law and Business faculty challenged me to design my personal career plan and brand. The one-on-one mentoring, unique curriculum, exclusive guest speakers, and industry volunteer opportunities laid the foundation for where I am now. I truly feel that I have the tools necessary to reach my goals wherever I go in sports.”
