ASU Law expands JD to part-time online learners

ASU Law's Juris Doctor (JD), delivered part-time and online, is a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to train lawyers to be prepared to meet legal needs in public service and rural communities nationwide. A more flexible learning option allows students to maintain their personal and professional commitments while earning a JD at one of the most highly-ranked law schools in the U.S.

ASU Law is an ABA-accredited law school and has received acquiescence to offer the JD online.

Solving for legal deserts, expanding public service and impacting the economy

Rural communities across Arizona and the nation face a stark shortage of legal professionals. The JD at ASU Law with a focus on public service, designed to be completed part-time and online, offers a long-term solution to this challenge by producing legal professionals committed to practicing in public service and rural communities. Students will learn in their own communities, gaining knowledge tailored to the unique needs of populations with a lack of access to justice.
