ASU Law offers scholarship and funding opportunities for both JD students and students pursuing legal master’s degrees. Explore merit- and need-based awards, experiential funding programs, external scholarships, competitions and application information.
All incoming first-year JD students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships. Admitted students will be notified if additional information is required in order to be considered for any award. There are additional scholarships that students may apply to once they are enrolled. In order to maintain any scholarships awarded, students must be in good academic standing and enrolled full-time at ASU Law.
Students admitted through a binding admissions program receive a scholarship at the time of admission. Students admitted through the regular admissions process must complete a scholarship application for scholarship consideration. Please submit the scholarship application form if you applied through the regular process and did not receive a scholarship with your admissions packet. Scholarship application submissions are reviewed starting October 1, 2026 and on the 1st and the 15th each month thereafter. Scholarship recipients will be sent their scholarship letter by email shortly after the date in which their submission is reviewed.
It is customary for students who receive donor-supported scholarships to thank the donors. Further details will be provided to students with donor-supported scholarships.
Student Opportunity Funding provides financial support for ASU Law students pursuing unpaid or low-paid legal experiences in public interest, government, policy and technology law. All incoming students can access ASU's Scholarship Universe. An ASURITE is required for access. There are scholarships for a wide range of talents, personal stories, creativity and more.
