AI and Legal Technology Studio
Nested within the Center for Law, Science and Innovation, the AI and Legal Tech Studio is ASU Law's hub for hands-on AI education, applied research and legal technology development. Led by Director Sean Harrington, the Studio trains law students, working attorneys and legal professionals to use AI thoughtfully, ethically and effectively. It also builds tools that expand access to justice for the communities that need it most. From law firms to legal aid clinics, courtrooms to classrooms, the Studio is where legal AI gets put to work.

How is AI changing legal education?
Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming how people live, work and solve problems—and the legal field is no exception. At ASU Law, AI is treated as a tool to advance justice, expand access and prepare future lawyers to lead by developing core competencies in AI and legal tech during their studies.
The college integrates technology and AI to make legal education more inclusive and future graduates practice-ready. ASU Law was the first in the U.S. to allow generative AI in student applications and embed AI training across all degree programs.

The MLS in AI and Law is a 30-credit program designed for professionals seeking to deepen their expertise in law and technology. Offered on campus, full- or part-time, the program requires no LSAT, GRE or GMAT for admission.
