From the moment you attend your first day at ASU Law, you will receive career development guidance and resources to contribute to your post-graduation success. And, even before you arrive on campus, ASU Law's admitted students can begin accessing our career development tools.
During your first semester of your 1L year, plan to make an appointment with a team member in Career Services to discuss your career goals and review your resume together. 1Ls are also encouraged to start attending panels, on-campus events and off-campus informational coffees to meet and connect with lawyers in the community. Students should also browse Atlas, the Career Services employment portal, to see all available resources, including resume templates, employer research and cover letter examples.
Throughout your law school experience, it is important to cultivate your relationship with the Career Services office. This includes continuing to take advantage of one-on-one counseling, resume and cover letter review, and applying for internship and externship opportunities via Atlas. These real-world, practical experiences offered each semester can offer a variety of rewarding opportunities that can help expand a student's legal network, potentially leading to post-graduate employment. These opportunities can vary from judicial, government, and public interest externships to experiences with small and large firms.
As a 3L, you will continue to benefit from the Career Services office in targeted ways. 3L students have access to a dedicated career counselor to assist with interview prep, application materials, and job search questions. In addition to a career counselor, Career Services also hosts an On-Campus Interviewing (OCI) event for 3Ls to assist with post-graduation employment.

Though not required for these degree programs, internships can provide valuable experiential learning opportunities. Career Services can assist you with earning credit for your internship and determining what makes a worthwhile experience.

All Alumni have access to Atlas where they can access job postings as well as online resources. Alumni can access Atlas using the same log-in information from their time as a student. If you did not have access to Atlas as a student, please complete the Atlas registration form with your information. Once we have completed your registration, we will send an email with information on how to access the system. You will need an ASURITE ID. If you're a former ASU student and want to obtain an ASURITE UserID, please call 855-278-5080. Please be prepared to answer appropriate questions about yourself so they can match and verify your identity to your student records.

The Career Services office offers a robust and comprehensive series of employment events annually beginning in January and running throughout the spring semester. All students, regardless of year, class rank or GPA, are eligible to participate in any and all the events.
